WIPW: Week 4

Well 1st things 1st....

Last week I created a poll on this blog for readers to vote on which 80's cartoon character I should create into an ami next. It was soooo much fun creating my 'Papa Smurf' that I just can't wait to make another 80's toon ami! The choices were:

  • 'Smurfette'
  • 'Orko'
  • 'Rainbow Brite'
  • 'Doozers'
  • 'Inspector Gadget'

The results of the poll are in- drumroll please......

'Doozer' from Fraggle Rock

Doozers!!! This is gonna be fun for sure!

For those of you who don't know who the Doozers are...
From the Fraggle Rock wiki:

"Within Fraggle Rock lives a second species of small humanoid creatures, the pudgy, green, ant-like Doozers. Standing only 6 inches (150 mm) tall (knee-high to a Fraggle), Doozers in a sense represent anti-Fraggles; their lives are dedicated to work and industry. Doozers spend much of their time busily constructing all manner of scaffolding throughout Fraggle Rock using miniature construction equipment and wearing hard-hats and work boots. No one but the Doozers themselves seem to understand the actual purpose of their intricate and beautiful constructions."

I am also working on a few other cartoon/comic related projects for my lil cousins - Jack & Aidan

I just started on a 'Spongebob Squarepants' for Jack:

I haven't gotten very far yet...but here is at least the color palate:

I am making an 'Iron Man' for Aidan:

'Iron Man' Ami

Stay tuned next week for more progress (hopefully) of my 'Spongebob' and 'Iron Man' and the start of my 'Doozer!'

Don't forget to stop on over at Tami's Ami's Blog and read about other WIP's, and maybe share one yourself!

  3. I'm married to a teenaged boy (cleverly masked as a 47-y.o. man) who went through a SpongeBob phase a few years ago. It'll be fun watching that project emerge.
